Bhavani Om

Bhavani Om

Bhavani found yoga as an adult, when her personal and work life were not as she had intended. Through the guidance of Saraswati Om, Reverend Lisa Sarick, along with multiple instructors at CNY Yoga Center/Dharma Yoga Syracuse (DYS), she fell in Love with all facets of yoga. This led her to a plethora of immersions as well as LOAY teacher training with living master Sri Dharma Mittra. Since then, she has mentored many LOAY teacher trainings at DYS. Bhavani has completed an additional 300- hour Radiant Life Immersion with Saraswati Om. Certified in Yogi Flight Method®. She is a certified teacher of Kidding Around Yoga. She is a crystal alchemy bowl and gong sound healing facilitator. Bhavani is excited to share what she has learned and continues to learn on the path.

Hanuman Ram Om

Hanuman Ram Om

Hanuman Ram Om was a runner, triathlete and adventure racer. At the age of 46 he discovered yoga. At first it was just a physical practice, but soon it became a spiritual practice as well. Hanuman received his 200-hour certification with Sri Dharma Mittra in 2011. He completed an additional 300 hours with Andrei Ram in 2014. Hanuman is eternally grateful to Saraswati Om and Andrei Ram for sharing their knowledge, their spirit and their love. Namaste.

Saraswati Om

Saraswati Om is an experienced yoga and meditation teacher, crystal alchemy bowl and gong sound healing facilitator, and a Senior Dharma Teacher with over 1000 hours of training. Originally from Central New York, she opened the first Yoga Wellness & Sound Center in her region and successfully held the space for 17 years. Saraswati now resides in Iceland, where she leads classes, retreats, ceremonies, and workshops both locally and online. She is honored to teach at The Center Of Om.

Sarah Costello

Sarah Costello is a yoga teacher and sound practitioner in CNY. She was intuitively drawn to Dharma Yoga Syracuse in 2012. As the benefits of the practice extended from the physical body and into the more subtle bodies, the curiosity and desire to learn more was planted which led her to Life of a Yogi Teacher Training and Sound Medicine Facilitator training with Saraswati Om/Dharma Yoga Syracuse.  Sarah credits her steady practice for the deepened connection to self and source she has experienced over the years. Sarah has led yoga classes, workshops and sound experiences with a grateful heart and continues to study under the guidance of her beloved teacher and friend, Saraswati Om, who empowers her students to remember that the guru is within. We are each our own greatest teacher and healer.

Michele Gardner

Michele Gardner

Michele is an 800-hour certified Dharma Yoga teacher with 14+ years of practice. She began her journey exploring classes and workshops across NYC, Omega, and Kripalu, studying with renowned teachers like Rodney Yee and Seane Corn. Her true path unfolded at Dharma Yoga Syracuse under Saraswati Om, where yoga transformed her health, spirituality, and commitment to karma and bhakti yoga. She weaves essential oils into her classes for mindfulness and healing, and designed Life of a Yogi and Yoga Wisdom for Sri Dharma Mittra. A proud mother of two, Michele has lived in Skaneateles for over 30 years, sharing her love of yoga and art with her community.

Cynthia Powers-Broccoli

Cynthia Powers-Broccoli

A graduate of Boston College, Cynthia spent many years in the financial services industry in executive recruiting. Seeking balance amid a stressful career, Cynthia took her first yoga class in 1994. Her passion for yoga was precipitated by her own difficulty conceiving a child. Dedicating herself to a daily practice of yoga asana and meditation, Cynthia gave birth to her first son in 2004. Receiving her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2005 (E-RYT 200, YCEP), Cynthia remains committed to sharing the healing benefits of yoga and meditation. Her classes incorporate a mix of ancient chants with modern, soulful music for an energetic and joyful flow.

Ade Hall

Ade Hall

Ade fell in love with the practice of yoga during a challenging and tumultuous time in her life just over a decade ago. Life was confusing and she wanted answers. With great reverence, she has found and continues to find answers and deep connection to herself and Source through her yoga practice both on and off the mat.  Ade received her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) through Dharma Yoga Syracuse in 2016. She has since received training in Trauma Informed Yoga and completed an additional YTT through the Bhakti Center in NYC in 2021. She is indebted to the many spiritual teachers she has been fortunate enough to learn from over the years including Saraswati Om, Sri Dharma Mittra, Frank Abbott, Ragunath Cappo, Dhanya Rico and so many others.  Ade is excited to join and learn from the amazing teachers at Center of Om and is looking forward to supporting and encouraging others on the sacred path of Self inquiry, deep healing and spiritual growth. 

Lalita Om

Lalita Om

Upon moving to Syracuse in 2009, Lalita began her yoga practice looking to find balance amidst a stressful career and to help align with her most authentic self. It didn't take long to realize that she had found her home with the Dharma Yoga Syracuse community. In 2015 she completed the 200-hour LOAY Teacher Training under her beloved teacher, Saraswati Om. Lalita has extensive gratitude for this journey which continues as a daily practice of mindfulness, dedication and self-exploration. When not on the mat, Lalita spends much of her time in the service of her other great practice, the alchemy of baking at her eatery, The Sweet Praxis.

Siobhan Smith

Siohban Smith

Siohban loves the positive benefits that yoga has to offer including increased strength and flexibility, higher levels of awareness, a greater sense of compassion, in addition to clarity and peace of mind. She has studied with Dharma Mittra, Saraswati, and Andrei Ram, completing her 200-hour certification in 2017. She has also studied spiritual and energy alignment with Zela Rodriguez. Siohban works as a School Psychologist.
